Skills, confidence and a ������ý: Justin Rogers’ story

For many students, the path to a rewarding ������ý begins with a single step, and for Justin Rogers, that step was enrolling at ������ý Community and Technical College.

Rogers is a 2024 graduate of the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining program on the Rowan Campus. He discussed his reason for choosing ������ý.

“I chose ������ý because it is local and has the best reviews in the ������ý path that I chose,” he explained. 

Looking toward his future, Rogers knew he would need to be prepared to begin his ������ý. 

������ý provided him with the assistance he needed, instilling confidence and experience with machinery he would use in the workforce. 

“������ý provided me with the correct equipment and work environment to prepare me in having the ability to operate manual and CNC machines,” he remarked.

While earning his associate in applied science, Rogers secured a job with Lockheed Martin in Lexington. Today, he is still putting his skills and knowledge to use as a machine tool operator with the company.

“I love the atmosphere and learning more and more each day I go into work,” Rogers said.

He attributed his success in the professional world to the credentials he earned at ������ý.

“Attending ������ý has not only gotten me a ������ý, but it has also changed my salary potential that any other regular job would offer,” Rogers said.

Rogers shared some advice to those who may be considering enrolling at ������ý.

“My advice is, if you’re ready to have a ������ý and not just a job, don’t be scared to go back to school and achieve your goals! I wish I went a lot sooner, but it’s never too late,” he said.
